Unable to call for saints back up

I don't know how my game did this but i can no longer call for saints back up,
the option is un-clickable and is greyed (as it does when its on a cooldown),
this happened a few weeks back i didn't know what to do?,
any suggestions?,
it works fine if i create a new character,
is there a way of keeping my character and re-enabling it?,

Honestly, there needs to be some sort of click-through where you have to read and acknowledge the FAQ thread before you can post in this forum. Then, if you ask a question that's answered in the FAQ, you get banned

Anyways, were you playing co-op?

Backup calls frequently get jacked up in co-op games.
