Updating "asm"

Okay, to make this simple, easier, faster, understandable and everything else positive, I have these three mods here;

http://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/index.php?threads/wardrobe-color-change-mod-v4.129/
http://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/...-vehicles-plus-customize-all-vehicles-v3.132/
http://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/index.php?threads/mission-replay-v8.158/

And I want to use them all, problem is that, "Mission Replay" has a conflict with both of these mods; Mission Replay has both "patch_vint_doc_containers" and "vint_doc_containers".

I thought I couldn't use them in conjunction, but as IdolNinja noted;

"Make sure to delete other mods that use the same .asm_pc files before installing this mod! They will not be compatible unless you update the asm yourself with gibbed's tools!"

But, I tried using the guide, but I didn't understood well. Can someone give me more help about this? I would like to use these three mods, but I don't know how to update my asm, the guide didn't help much as I said.

Just use Gentlemen of Steelport. It builds all the asm files for you dynamically, and it's completely modular; i.e. you can simply select only those 3 mods you want and have it build those files. Easy peasy.

So, I need to get GoS, but if I don't want to use all its features, I can simply just use those three mods I mentioned using GoS?

Yes.
Download GoS.
Go into Advanced Mode.
Then go into each numbered section, and turn OFF each mod you do NOT want by pressing it's corresponding number.
Mods that are turned ON have an "I" in front of it's name (I assume for "I"ncluded) and, I believe, only the mods listed in Section 1 are turned on by default.

Bingo. The only other thing to mention is that you probably want to choose L (for loose mods) when building them instead of P (for patch files) if you're just looking for those specific mod files.

Also, it's I for Install. ;)

There's an undocumented feature as well. In the Advanced menu, type X and enter and it will deselect everything, including all the core mods. That way you don't have to manually deselect all of those if you don't want them.

Alright, thank you for the help, it worked!

But I'm still curious for this; How come when I make that GoS compilation, and make it into a loose one, I get a lot of stuff that I actually don't even need? the vints and store_vehicle/store_wardrobe are the only needed ones, as well as the mission files, but then I get these like "billboard"

Oh, that's right. At the time GoS Beta 3 was released, SRTT was forcing the new Enter the Dominatrix billboards. I added the original texture files in by default to restore the originals, and then made the ETD ones as an option. A couple of weeks after GoS beta 3 released, Volition changed how the files were accessed. The result is what you see. Useless billboards files and their asm being included. This is fixed in the upcoming gui GoS. For now, you can simply just delete them.

I see, thanks for the info. I'd like to try the upcoming GoS, Beta 4 it will be, right? When is the release date, When-Its-Done or To-Be-Announced?

My current goal is a Christmas release. No promises though.
