Okay, so i unpacked the xtbl's from the misc_tables.vpp_pc using Minimual's tool, and edited the weapons.xtbl to remove overheating for the thumpgun*. But, when i copy it to the saints row IV directory and load the game, nothing is different. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? *I changed the overheat increase per shot to 0, and the overheat decrease to 1.

I don't know for sure, but in SRTT there were certain tables (mostly animation ones) that needed to be in a subfolder named Tables to actually load correctly. Might be worth a try.
I figured it out. You have to edit the weapons_upgrades.xtbl.

give this guy a cookie.i also found out how to keep notoriety mostly down (may occaisionally get up to one star) :3
edit: well now with the patch editing the weapon upgrades.xtbl in any way causes crashes. :/
