What does default GOTR install? Also 360 controller help

I installed the default version using my Steam version of the game and am loving SR2 (thanks Deep Silver and Idolninja!) . To be honest I'm not sure what the default install actually does - I gathered from the Steam sticky it solved most issues so that's why I did it. I'm finding that controlling vehicles with a mouse is often a chore though and I'd like to use my 360 compatible controller for things.

However the way it's mapped needs tweaking and the control scheme in the Options section is quite a bit less than intuitive. Do I need to repatch the game in order to access the controller-friendly mapping that I saw in some of the youtube videos? If so, what selections do I make and will I be able to use the same savegames?

If you want a basic list of features, check out the feature list txt file that comes with the mod.

If you customize your controls then the 360 prompt mappings with GotR will not work correctly. It's only setup to work with the default control config.

How do you access the prompts?

I saw the features - which is an overview but it's hard to tell when making a selection exactly what the outcomes will be - at least to me. Far enough into the game that I don't want to mess up my savegames.

The 360 prompts are optional. You have to select them to install in the controls menu. Trying out mods will not mess up your savegame. You can safely experiment and change things around as much as you want.
