can anybody let me know where are the all game files installed on pc?? i have windows vista 64bit. i havn't got any files in c:/programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/.......nothing in it. please help
I guess the first question is, where exactly did you install Steam? If you have a shortcut for it on your desktop or start menu you could look at its properties and see where it's launching from.
If you don't have any files or folders there then that's either:
* Not where Steam is actually installed
* You don't own any or haven't installed any games through Steam.
my game is installed through steam which is legal game . it runs through steam and is located in steam library section. if its not in steam folder then, it could be in some other folder but i have searched my whole harddisk and can't find it . can you advise if i want to search any game file related to saints row 3 what should i type in search box???
If you only see the exe then that can't be where Steam is installed. It should look like this:
Also, I mean the shorcut to Steam itself, not the game. In your start menu type "steam" (without the quotes) into the Run box. It should find your Steam shortcut that you can right click on.
tell you what mate. i found the files. awsome......i kept thinking steam is installed in steam folder. and trying your idea. by checkin shortcut to steam etc. i found it. you are a lifesaver. THANK YOU LOADS.
