Saints Row 4's first DLC is a mockumentary of cut content.

The content cut was from Saints Row 4 and Enter the Dominatrix before the two were merged. They had to rewrite the entire story as a result.

I just hope we get the mountable dragon. Now THAT would be sublime.

Also going back in time to save THQ as a possible DLC? Even if that's a joke...well, it doesn't sound too implausible given the current circumstances in the Saints Row world.

I think it sounds great. The idea I mean. One, because I always have and will be super interested in cut content, beta versions, entirely unreleased games/DLC (*cough*Money Shot*cough*), or even games that are more or less no longer available. Love that crap for some reason, but two, it sounds like it'll be hilarious having the characters actually explain it in a mockumentary. I don't know if that has been done ever before, but I love the idea.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if it's entirely just a cutscene pack basically or if it does include some playable content. I would think it will in some form/extent, unless it is free or something. Too many if's right now to decide anything probably. :\

I love the idea, myself.

It sounds like it would be in a deluxe edition type of thing of anything, from what I am reading of course. I was under the impression that the DLC was gonna be a pretty hefty piece, since it was originally gonna be a SR3 expansion that costs 30 bucks. This sounds less, maybe I am jumping the gun though...

I'm happy with that as a free DLC. Heck, the other option is stuff that was going to be in the game but was cut for whatever reason, then spliced in once they had time to work on it post-Gold. That's not terribly uncommon. Charging a few bucks for that sort of DLC tends to be the assumed behaviour, and I wouldn't consider it as bad as the DLC-spam that came out for SR3.

(Edit: now that I re-read)
Huh.. I don't see anything about it being free. Well, if it's cheap, I'd be ok with it. I guess since it's content that had to be re-created and not just stuff that was in the game (like say vehicle variants as pay DLC, one of the more blatant money-cries there was) it's acceptable more. I'll want to see this of course when it comes, but nothing until SR4 itself hits.

Actually, they did release Money Shot - according to the Saints Row Wiki webpage. It was also originally only available as part of the Prima Strategy Guide; I know this for a fact because I bought the guide for this very reason. :)

Wrong Money Shot. You're thinking of the DLC with the assassin's outfit, togo sniper rifle, and ultor hoverbike. There was an unreleased activity dlc, also named Money Shot, where you controlled sniper bullets in first person and guided through targets and things. It was supposed to be a PS3 exclusive but got canned (because it sucked.) There's beta video out there of it on youtube.
