Okay, i was wondering, how did Saints Row come to be? I understand it was *Sort of* based on the beloved Gee, tea eh but i mean, what was going through the heads of the volition staff?
 
This question belongs more in the Off-Topic forum than the Ask Volition forum since it has nothing to do with needing Dev help with modding.
 
I figured it was like, "Hey, wanna make a game that's a dumbed-down version of GTA? Less satire and more street warfare + hilarity and fun? Cool! To the drawing board we go!"
