That is no longer an issue now though. The lua folder actually does work fine even if you put it in the main folder without repacking. The characters.vpp however, is what I found out I'm having problems with. Tried it with your lua and the sandbox's lua.

I was able to put the sandbox's lua file in the main folder and got rid of yours, saw that the controls for the sandbox are functioning as they should.

Your mod doesn't have a misc.vpp, just misc_tables. Only misc.vpp I have is the vanilla one. It does go into that misc.vpp file though but if I do that, wouldn't yours in the main folder override the misc.vpp's version?

Actually the best idea would be to pack all those you said above except the dlc items because they were not from the tables file. I'm guessing they came from dlc3.vpp but I could be wrong.
