For anyone having performance issues, I would strongly recommend turning off the various reflection settings first before doing anything else. Those are going to be the most intense operations for the GPU to do. Then I would lower the resolution down to 720p. It will still look just fine but it...
I have seemingly been able to add a new slot and clothing category using customization_slots.xtbl and customization_categories.xtbl as well as moved some existing items over to the new slot. I have also set up the new category to use the new clothing slot. What I have not been able to find is...
So this is definitely an ancient thread, but setting the CPU affinity to only CPU0 while the game is running appears to fix this for me.
Hopefully we can figure out a way to automate this.
This is one of the changes I made already. The trick is just making sure the trees don't all vanish randomly at longer distances.
EDIT: More progress has been made on this. It appears to be a video memory thing - freeing up more video memory for the exe to use appears to seriously reduce how...
Has that really been a thing this whole time? I guess I'll look in to that. It would be great if there's a way to increase the draw distance on basically everything. It's super short by default.
I'm currently working on a mod that makes things visible from farther distances so the world doesn't look quite as barren in the background. It's a delicate balancing act with getting the numbers just right because the game will just plainly stop rendering certain things if they're being seen...

Unlikely. Frankly, I played it and there seems to be some sort of attempt at a 30 fps frame rate lock which in itself doesn't quite work properly (lots of low frame rates AND screen tearing simultaneously).
Edit: ninja'd.
Since it's only $4 I'll be picking it up to see if there are actually any improvements. I wouldn't hold my breath though.
EDIT: Also, SRTT may not work online from GoG through the Steam system, it might work through GoG Galaxy and possibly even their Crossplay system (which allows you to play...
