Purple Zero Saints Thirty costume & gold visor helmet

I've never really modded anything either up until this point. For the sake of expanding my skillset and for sheer curiosity, I followed a tutorial that I found on here and found that modding SR4 is actually pretty easy.

Minimaul's Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV and Gat Out Of Hell tools

Certainly. The mod's been available here on the forums for a few days now. It's located here: https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/zero-swat-thirty-a-zero-saints-thirty-retexture.5439/ My mod works fine, as I manually built the asm_pc files using BuildPackfileGUI.exe. It took a while...

Minimaul's Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV and Gat Out Of Hell tools

I've not tried deleting first and then copying the replacement, no. I didn't think that would make a difference? As overwriting is more or less the same thing? What I have done before though, is deleted the previous version of the customize_item.asm_pc file and run...

Zero "SWAT" Thirty - A Zero Saints Thirty retexture

Updated to v.2 Fixed the overall helmet colour not matching the rest of the outfit. Added 4 colour variations for the helmet's visor. Removed an incorrect custmesh file for the male helmet, and replaced it with the proper one, so the helmet recolour will now work on male characters as intended.

Minimaul's Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV and Gat Out Of Hell tools

Sorry, I tried to explain it the best I could. To answer your question, no, this is what I did: Basically, I have 4 individual folders: - Blue -- custmesh_###.str2_pc files (containing the blue visor texture variation) - Green -- custmesh_###.str2_pc files (containing the green visor texture...

Minimaul's Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV and Gat Out Of Hell tools

I'm having problems with ThomasJepp.SaintsRow.Stream2Update.exe as well. I'm working on a retexture for the Zero Saints Thirty outfit and helmet, and I made helmets with varying visor colours so that people can choose which one they want to use. After making a few colour variations and packing...

    Specular maps and Defuse maps

They're basically saying that of all the textures they've worked on, they have yet to see a specular map be associated with a texture set (more or less meaning specular maps are almost non-existent in the game files). So consider the fact that models vary in how reflective they are, but...

    Specular maps and Defuse maps

Well, I'm rather new to the texture scene myself, so I thought if I can help anyone else out with the basics that I know so far, then why not :) And thanks for linking those videos, by the way. There has to be something going on for them to be excessively reflective, though. Why don't you...

    Specular maps and Defuse maps

As far as I know, SR4 uses 3 texture files; diffuse, normals and specular maps, but only some things actually use specular maps. Whether you can change that or not I don't know. Diffuse is your texture file, where you generally design the look and feel of the texture, add colours and so forth...

Retexturing Saints Row IV, For Dummies

Followed your tutorial, with great results. Really easy to follow and I had no problems, everything worked first time. One thing I would like to point out is the following quote: You say "Make sure it's checked off", but I wasn't sure it you meant checked, or unchecked until I read the...
