A simple hair colour request...

... if anyone has the time and can be bothered. I would love to replace the bright indigo head hair colour with a true blue, i.e. R=0, G=0 and B=255 (see pic for reference). The bright indigo looks pretty close when my character's not in direct light but as soon as he is it is basically purple. I've also selected what looks like true blue on the colour grid for my eyebrows and facial hair but it appears purple in the light too, so if anyone could help me out with a minor mod to achieve a true blue colour for my eyebrows, head and facial hair I would be in your debt. My kingdom for blue!

I don't really have time to package things up nicely, but I can give a super-abbreviated version: get gibbed tools, unpack misc_tables.vpp_pc, find player_creation_hair_color.xtbl, edit that file with your favorite text editor, and then copy just that xtbl to the root of your steamfiles\saints row the third\ directory. You can also do pretty much the same thing with the Initiation Station, which usually has a far quicker load time, until you get things just as you want them - the joys of trial and error.

I imagine you'll need to change the specular_bright and specular_dark attributes, and probably lower the <Hue> a tad.

Make a backup of the files That way you can restore them if you mess up. I wish I could help you on this, but haven't succeeded myself in editing textures.
