About RAR5 format compression

Recently I noticed that the 7-zip can decompress RAR5 format file.
Whether the mod files may be compressed in RAR5 format?
I want to hear your opinion about RAR5.

What is the most trusted program I can use to unzip 7zip and RAR compressed zip files? I have a few games that have mods and freeware dlc that are zipped in those formats.

7-zip is open source project and it's free. I recommend 7-zip for common purpose.
I'm using the WinRAR. It's not free but I have to compress a lot of files as a modder.
Regardless of whether paid or free, in order to maintain the security You should use the latest version of the program.
