Any plans for Volition about the next Saints Row game and (maybe) re-releasing Saints Row 2

I want to ask Volition:

1. Are Volition planning to re-release and remade Saints Row 2 in remastered Edition for XBOX One, Playstation 4 and proper PC port with the graphics from Saints Row IV / Saints Row The Third?
2. Are Volition planning in near 1-2 years to release any SR game (like Saints Row 5) with customization and cribs? My suggestion are: is to be on a map with many customizable cribs, and many enterable places like in Saints Row 2, to have many food / clothing shops. SR5 do NOT contain Supersprint / Super Jump for the Protagonist unlike Saints Row IV, but do have Powers and have a Super Homies like Saints Row IV along with normal Saints on streets. Also, make a two EXEs - first to be on the new engine used by Agents of Mayhem (and may use DX12), and the second to use SRTT graphics engine (running DX 10/11) for compatibility to run Saints Row 5 on SR fans with older PC that cannot afford more expensive upgrade for their PC to run new Volition's graphic engine.

This is along with the new Agents of Mayhem game Volition had just freshly announced. I think Saints Row 5 with content like my suggestion might make many of players that went away after SR2, to return back. :) Please, make Saints Row 5 to be like this, pretty many of SR fans stated SR2 as being the best game!

I really miss Saints Row 2 and I might purchase it soon. Many of its goodies has been stripped down from Saints Row The Third onwards. :oops:

I doubt it.
but volition did say they have something planned for saints row fans. whatever it is i am looking foreward to it. it's probably the SDK for modders.

I honestly can't see it being modding related since that affects only part of the fanbase. The modding patch will likely get a quiet release.

The way that answer was worded makes me think it'll be some kind of game release. A remastered SR2 with fixed PC version is way more likely than a complete remake with improved engine and graphics or Saints 5, since I'm sure Volition is primarily focused on AoM and wouldn't have time to do something like either of those.

You do know agents of mayhem is not even releasing till 2017 so you don't know if there will be another game on from that or not so don't make assumptions like that. Its like saying valve was going to make half life 3 and no more other games after episode 2 nope they made many games after episode 2 still no half life 3 :(

No, it's exactly like saying Valve won't make Half-Life 3.
Valve won't make Half-Life 3 because they've long since stopped caring about game development, just as Volition won't make Saints Row 5 because they've long since stopped caring about anything other than screwing around.

It's a pretty safe assumption to make. But I for one have assumed Volition will disappoint me greatly for years. I have yet to be proven wrong in that regard.

That I have to agree cuz I have not much hope for this new game cuz with volitions rap sheet they keep recycling the same engine and assets over and over agin. How much you wanna bet it will be saints row 3 recycled for this game. Not to mention they don't put alot of detail and effort into there games like they did with saints row 2 they totally lazied up saints row 3 and up.Cuz its pretty bad when saints row 2 has better graphics and detail and more stuff to do then its sequals.o_O

Sad, but it's so true. I can understand there being reasons for SR3 and 4's drop in quality, but Agents of Mayhem? Whyyyyyyyyyyy? What about that game makes anyone leap for a day one purchase?

Although I guess that's a problem most Volition games have suffered, but rather than appeal to the fans they have, I guess they seek to puzzle new potential fans and alienate their old ones.

I agree too.
 
sr5 should have all the super powers sr2 had... but... to balance they would be a secret unlock or reward for an optional quest.
sr4 was fucking amazing, by the way.
