But... How??

Ok, I read the whole modding basics thread to learn how to download files, put them in the right folders, and then for them to appear in my game, although none of the information I read in the thread, I can seem to understand. I'm really new to modding other than Sims 3 so this is a whole new bag of chips for me. If someone could please direct me to some information aimed to noobs like me or some how explain this to correspond it with making files appear in my game that would be much appreciated. Thank you! :)

Shouldn't it be in 'Get help/Troubleshooting' sub-forum?

Moving to Get Help/Troubleshooting subforum. Also, please review our forum rules before posting; specifically:
Forum Rules said:
DO NOT use colored fonts, small fonts, or non-standard fonts in your posts. Doing so does not make you a Unique Internet Snowflake™; rather it just annoys everyone and makes your posts difficult to read. This rule does not apply if you are simply using colors/fonts to highlight specific code or filenames to make a complicated post more readable.
Posting a link to a guide saying you don't understand anything makes it difficult to help you. I strongly suggest that you start at the beginning and ask specific questions regarding things you don't understand. Also, I want to make sure that you are aware that this guide is intend for creating your own mods for the game. It is not for simply using the mod releases on this site which all have their own included instructions in the readme and usually just involve extracting a set of files to the root of your SRTT install from the archive itself.

Ok, my apologies. I just wish to know where I put content in order for it to go in to my game. That's all :) thanks heaps!

There is no set answer for this. Each mod you download from this site will be contained in a compressed archive. Within that archive is a readme text file that contains install instructions on where you extract the included files. So, download the mod. Read the readme and follow the install instructions. Easy.

If you are creating your own mods then the general rule is that edited files are normally placed in the folder with the game exe. This is going to be where you installed Steam:
..\steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third\
This is not an absolute rule though. Some animation table files or items to be preloaded need to be repacked back into their original archive and replace the originals in:
..\steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third\packfiles\pc\cache\

Thanksheaps! I didn't know that was the case! :) That makes it much more accessible for modding and use in game, I'm used to having to exctract files. going to in to the root folder and placing specific files in different folders upon making a file and downloading files to unlock the the exe to allow the game to read those files for them to appear in games. Thanks for the help. <3 feel the love!
