As far as I can tell (and I repeat that I AM NOT A LAWYER), in the absence of any other offence (drugs, etc), you're looking at a fine of up to 1000 penalty units (aussie fines are based on penalty units that scale with inflation - iirc they're about $145/unit currently). That said, this is the maximum penalty for importing prohibited goods. Importing an RC game is almost nothing compared to importing firearms or explosives (which are covered by the same provision), so you're highly unlikely to receive the maximum fine...

That said, Importing RC content is still prohibited and to be avoided. And no, I have no idea whether acquiring a steam key without falsely representing your location counts as importing the content. See a real lawyer for that.

That said, you need to confirm the law that applies to you. Importation of RC material is illegal (if only subject to a fine), and so you really should not do it. Similarly, if you live in the wrong parts of Australia, possession of an uncut version of SRIV is illegal. Don't do it.
