Saints Row IV Changing glide terminal velocity

I tried changing the terminal velocity for the glide to prevent you from losing altitude. There's an entry in tweak_table for that, but I was manipulating it via the unlockables. The value in their seems to be a multiplier, with the vanilla glide distance upgrade multiplying it by 0.75. I tried setting the multiplier to 0 to prevent losing any altitude, but it produced freezing behavior very much like what xFL1PPYx is experiencing. Setting it to something like 0.05 had the effect I wanted, but sometimes it would shoot you up in the air fast enough to bypass the red energy barrier in the sky. I haven't tried this yet, but seeing as the default value is 10, setting it to 0.1 might be the right value to prevent losing any altitude (so the adjusted value would be 1). But I would like to be able to gain instead of losing altitude while gliding, just not nearly that fast. Is there any way this would be possible, and can you see any issues with setting it to 0.1?

EDIT: Setting it to 0.1 (× 10 = 1) really has no noticeable difference from 0.05, other than it maybe being a little harder to have it rocket upwards.

Up the amount of air dashed to something crazy like 10,000. The launch effect only happens when you run out of air dashes, then fall long enough to built up momentum, hit terminal velocity, then attempt another glide. The glide turns the downward momentum into upward thrust. Hence the launching effect. But if you never run our of air dashes, it will never happen.

Personally, I like the velocity effect of 6.5. It gives you slight upward thrust. Also, disabling the "JUMP_GLOW" effect does away with the stuttering in the tails as you glide.

By 6.5, do you mean the multiplier? Because I think that would make you go down faster. Or do you mean that's the value in the tweak table, so I would put 0.65 for the multiplier?

Also, I already did increase the air dash count; I got that kind of behavior even with that though.

That's just my personal preference. Try setting the Jump_glide_terminal_velocity to 1 and the Player_glide_acceleration to 100. Anything lower than 1 starts to make things a little unpredictable. That's your best bet. You'll still have downward movement, but only slightly. And it should do away with the unwanted upward thrust.

I'm still confused about what I should set to 1 and 100: the multiplier in unlockables.xtbl, or the actual value in tweak_table.xtbl?

The value in the tweak_table.xtbl.

Set Jump_glide_terminal_velocity to 1

Set Player_glide_acceleration to 100.

Hit Ctl+F and paste those in. It will take you right too them.

Use ExtractPackfileGUI.exe from this set of tools (link: https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum...saints-row-iv-and-gat-out-of-hell-tools.3188/ ) to extract misc_tables.vpp_pc, which is found in ~:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Saints Row IV\packfiles\pc\cache. Once extracted (recommended to extract to a folder not located in your Saints Row folder) you can copy tweak_table.xbtl from the extracted files to your Saints Row Folder. Use notepad++ or XBTL editor (link: https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/xtbl-editor.238/ ) to tweak to your hearts' content. Good luck.
I find it a bit confusing using the notepad++.
