(Compatablity Problem) Saints Row 4 Game of the Year with mods Crashes.

I just got the Saints Row 4 Game of the Year addition and no mods will run with it. If I put a mod in, any mod, the game crashes when trying to load a saved game. Is this a known issue? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Please help!!!
