You do not have to update. All I did was the same thing. i.e. update the asm files using the same tool.

I just noticed that after uninstalling the mod all DLC cars and clothes are marked with Saints sign, like in SR3. Did you remove it intentionally?

It was nothing intentional.

It automatically patches on Steam unless you turn that feature off.
