Decker Blader Homie & Gang Member v1.0

Adds the Decker specialist as a normal gang member, selectable in your gang customization menu, and adds a homie version of the specialist.
Gang member version acts like a normal gang member, walking around, smoking, eating, and driving, while the specialist version works exactly as she does when you are fighting her. She won't attack anyone who isn't fighting you, her, or another ally.
Homie arrives holding the back of a Decker Solar, driven by a Saints-Decker.
Phone entry is listed as "Saints Backup," is located below the actual
Saints Backup entry, and is marked the gang notoriety icon.

In order to get this to work, the game has to consider the Decker specialist an average female foot-soldier. As such, this MAY cause them to spawn on the streets. When going back and loading a save prior to taking over the Decker territory, this never happened, but that doesn't mean it absolutely won't.
Regular gang member version doesn't like to show up very often. She does walk the streets once in your gang, but not as often as others.
The blader homie does not stop moving. Ever. As such, she is prone to plowing into oncoming traffic.
Homie version cannot enter cars, nor can she ride the back of a car once she has stopped.
Homie version's image sometimes becomes that of a miscellaneous woman. No idea why.


There are three different versions to download: one that only adds the homie, one that only adds the gang customization entry, and one that adds both. I find myself unable to upload files here, so here's links to the files on mediafire:

Oh, very nice! I've always liked the Decker specialist. Tell me, do you have any idea how this affects the homie entry table in the save file? You added her as a new homie, not replacing an existing entry?

edit: I checked it out myself, and here's what happens:
1) It's using Shaundi's homie name, so when you load the samve, it gets her unlock/busy status in the save file. Not exactly a problem.
2) It creates a new entry in the homies table (in the save, i mean). Careful; we only have 4 extra slots at the most, perhaps fewer. It uses the same hash as Shaundi, for the same reason as number 1, which means its unlock/busy status is ignored.
3) Because it's new, and the game hasn't set it to be unlocked, it's set to locked by default. Now, if you give it a new, unique name, such as "rollerblader", it works. It gets its own slot in the save file. But it doesn't get unlocked automatically. That's why you piggybacked it on Shaundi.

The good news is that it should work just fine as far as i can tell, aside from that status-sharing quirk i mentioned. The game will even clean up the extra phone entry in the save file if you remove the mod and save again, so don't worry about overflowing it that way. It'd be nice to give it a new name, but i suppose there's no way for you to unlock it except by editing the save file.

Yes. It is not replace any homie. Eprunega found a way to add new homies. I tried that and a rule of adding new homies is: give all of added homies a name "shaundi". Rest can be normal.
 
this is awesome! best homie evar! i just wish i could get this to work with Gang Plus One or couple others.
couple observations tho...she sometimes gets stuck in places. it's only to be expected with her speed, but she's even got stuck in small corners, and she's went so fast she's flown up onto tall houses lol. and sometimes when she does the hammer smash move, she does not have a weapon in her hands. great mod tho!
 
This sounds/looks amazing, but it's not working for me. I only added the gang member version, and she doesn't appear in the customization screen, or on the street. Right now I've got the file in the main Saints Row folder, where I put the other mod I use, and it's not working.

Edit: I tried removing all other mod files, and it still doesn't work.
 
Great mod, waited to use after finishing up the Deckers story missions, blended nicley, would be cool if she actually grabbed the back of any car or truck type of vehicle that you jump in once your ready to move out after a fight :) nice work!

You need to change <AI_Personality>gang defensive</AI_Personality> to "gang normal" in character.xtbl.
That way you'll get default NPC icon and the original voice.

Also you can add :

<Flag>commando</Flag> - it makes her fireproof and more effective overall
<Firearm_Damage_Multiplier>2</Firearm_Damage_Multiplier> -2-like Shaundy and Pierce homies,
or even higher, if you dont mind her lil'bit overpowered. (Last time she ownz level5 STAG roadblock solo on such settings)

Can u make one for SR 4?

I'd love to see this for Saints Row IV myself, but that cannot be done yet. See, the difference with the Decker Specialist in Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row: IV is that the Decker Specialist isn't anywhere in the game files of Saints Row: IV aside the mention of 'rollerblader' in the characters.xtbl file and possibly in the audio files or some other place. I don't know for sure because I don't know much about modding aside possible reasons for mods to not work.

But this would be cool for Saints Row: IV if everything works generally well. If the SDK does succeed, (which it will with time) then adding the Decker Specialist as a homie or type of NPC is nothing but a small step. In time, you and me will see that as a possibility. :)

Edit: The creator of this mod seems pretty cool with their idea to bring the Specialist in. I even replaced the Saint NPC homies with the Decker Specialist completely. :p
