Disable "Tornado" Upgrade for Super Sprint + BONUS REQUEST

Arglaar, while I realize that, the author of the mod is still likely to have more experience with upgrades than most. Seriously, I can't even use superpowers anymore.

While that is true, Arglaar, it is a perfectly reasonable hypothesis. Now, if the "more upgrades" mod doesn't actually add upgrades -- a likely scenario, given what little we know of the underlying function -- it will likely be of little use.

Tornado is turning out to be the "vampire neck bite" of SR4.

Meh.. I liked the Vampire Neck Bite too... :p

RE: Removing upgrades, as has been said before, you're most likely going to have to wait for someone to release the Savegame Editor.

Why does everyone hate the Tornado upgrade so much? It doesn't cause notoriety, notoriety rises because of you being close enough that your collision model makes contact with whatever you sent flying.

If it's not about notoriety then you guys are just weird.

I love the Tornado upgrade.
In trying to find a method of "fixing" the upgrade for people, I saw it's possible to make it even MORE powerful... :D
Cars were flying into space.. it was glorious.
(Tweak_table.xtbl -- Player_super_sprint_vehicle_push_speed)

Sadly, changing this to Zero didn't "fix" the issue so it's something else.

What I hate is how if, say, I'm running up to something or someone, they just fly the fuck away.

My personal reason is that if I try to run up to a vehicle to quick enter it, it goes NOPE! and flies away. So my only option is pretty much to actually open the door to get in (lol).

My main issue is that maybe I just want to take a nice jog through town without causing mass destruction, also problematic when you catch fire from exploding cars hurling past you. Less chance of destroying something you are trying to catch-up to is nice too.

Even without Tornado, it is very tricky to get Bo-Duken to work without sprint hurling the car away, particularly with Dash Shield.

Same way to disable dual wield, find "<Name>Sprinting_wind</Name>" in unlockables.xtbl and make it so that "<Type></Type>" has nothing in between. I don't remember what it had in there something with custom (I already made the change). After that the tornado upgrade does nothing, you can still buy it but it doesn't make you have the effect.

Do you suppose it could be possible to give Sprint an "element" setup like the other powers?
ie: Super Sprint, Tornado Sprint, Unpowered Sprint that could be toggled in the menu.

Because some of us prefer having the option to sprint up and engage in melee with whatever?
I was lucky enough to read of the unwanted effects of Tornado sprint so I have not picked it as a upgrade, never will.

I'm still hoping a mod can be crafted to toggle super sprint on and off in game cause there were melee events that one pulled
off using regular spring you can't due to super sprint. I don't get the concept of lack of options on this, that the devs of the game took.
Anyway, The rule of thumb, save often and always give yourself a way to back out of a stupid 'upgrade' that is not what one wants.
