Dubstep Gun modding?

Is it plausible to change the song that plays when you use the Dubstep Gun as well as change the "beat" that is firing?

The animations could possibly be changed too but would take time.


I had the idea of using Noisia's "Machine Gun" for the gun.
Parts of this song would be crazy to have.

The video is about war, hence the name of the song.

Think about it -- They are trying to convey the message that war is grotesque.

Also at the end it shows the video repeating after that disgusting sloppy meat mess dissolved and new civilization built on top of it. They will just repeat the actions of the previous civilization.

Also since all of the hands/people/soldiers look exactly the same it shows how we are all the same and war is futile.

The way the dubstep gun works is magical and beyond our modding capabilities right now.

Would've been fun. I like the 'Merica gun too but I don't really like that it has music attached to it.

Any chances of a SR3 to SRIV gun mod? I miss the MP7's

We got an update on the Ask Volition section. Turns out that the cues for a dubstep track are just stuffed into the wav file s metadata, so we may be able to tweak it as is. Expect a follow-up with more details soon, I guess? (He said later this week, he was gonna ask).

So.. not yet, but it may well work. Of course you need a sound editor that can read that stuff from the file, apparently audacity isn't good enough.

I'll have to look into that one or hopefully they'll tell us what program they used and try to get it.
