Easier Activity Goals (SR3 Edition!)

I struggled so much on the normal (real) Blazin' activity from Angel. Seriously, the guy's missions were unfair on so many levels. But that aside, I realized that Blazin' (Both cyber and normal, but cyber to a lesser extent) that those little fireballs on the ground essentially serve as a multiball capable of destroying everything in the immediate vicinity. In normal Blazin', depending on your surroundings, they will net you anywhere between 8 and 30 seconds. In Cyber Blazin', they will typically nail about three ASP's. Also, driving on the sidewalk is more efficient than hunting cars for extra time, for the same reason attacking random sidewalk objects is a superior tactic in Mayhem, the game doesn't weight vehicles enough score-wise. What I had a problem with was the "Easy" Genki missions. Although I'm good at headshots, I'm deliberate. The timer and non-regenning health throws me into a panic mode and I'll clear out the arena of mascots with sloppy body shots and low combos, and consistently fall short of the score target with no brutes to farm my way to victory at the end ("Easy" level, remember?). Another frustrating thing is the game doesn't realize the player has screwed themselves, so you have to wait the timer to run out or commit (painful and long) suicide with the environmental hazards. Was nice to finally complete the whole city after all this time.

Thank you so very much ! This mod made my life a whole less frustrating. Finally I don't mind those minigames so much. The overall game appreciation has skyrocketed, making SRTT a fast rising star in my most favourite PC games. If there was an endorsement system, I'd click it straightaway. Thanks!

Does this count for Sad Panda Skyblazing.
Good question; something that I -in my enthusiasm for this mod release- completely forgot myself: does this mod work for just the basegame, or does it apply to the DLC as well, and if so, which DLC?

If anyone is still curious, this mod does not include anything for the DLC activities (genkibowl). This only affects the main game activities.

I was working on trying to tweak the missions in the DLC packs (specifically the genki escort missions), and found the XTBL files that reference them (dlc1_a_es_01.xtbl and dlc1_a_es_02.xtbl). I did make some adjustments to them but I think I'm missing a step somewhere. My understanding was that if I dropped the edited files in the root directory, that they would be loaded instead of the regular ones. Is that not the case? Do I have to pack the whole shebang back up and replace the original dlc1.vpp_pc or is there something else that I'm missing instead?

From what I remember (been a while since I looked at those), you have to repack them in to the respective "*_Modal.str2_pc", and then repack that in to "dlc1_stream_grid.asm_pc", then copy both the asm_pc and each str2_pc files in to the root directory of the game.

It's a similar file structure to how this mod looks.

For some reason this is preventing me from starting the first Trafficking mission with Pierce. It goes to a load screen and just loads for all eternity. I built the files into the Patch files with Gentlemen of Steelport.
