Extracting an individual packfile

How do you extract .str2_pc files? Whenever I try to extract it using the ThomasJepp.SaintsRow.ExtractPackfileGUI, it just crashes.

Ah okay. Getting a crashing issue whenever I select a _pc file. First time modding this game so not too sure what I'm doing wrong yet. :-/

I can get .vpp_pc files to unpack but every time I try to unpack with "ThomasJepp.SaintsRow.ExtractPackfileGUI.exe" on a STR2_PC file it crashes.

I installed .netframework 4 n rebooted my machine. all fixed

I keep getting an error message stating that the directory is corrupted or unreadable when I click on the GUI. Is there a certain program I need or does this not work on Windows 8? Any help is greatly appreciated as this is my first foray into modding. Thanks.

Try redownloading and re-extracting your modding tools, this isn't right (I use windows 8 and 8.1)

I have a few times, although, I reinstalled the specific mod without the tools and now it's working fine, can't explain that, but for now problems are solved. Thanks for the reply though.
 
Uhm , look i've got this lil' issue , i wanna open and extract some game files to import them to 3ds max or blender , let's suposse , i wanna extract an "haircut" or "clothing" from the game files with their respective textures or bitmaps , and then , import them to 3d software to conver to other games , is that possible ?

And if it is , how i do it?
 
It appears i need help. For some strange reason whenever i open it, i dont get the list. It opened opens it up in a notepad package. I do have 7-zip. Am i missing a step here?
 
seriously try Notepad ++ its free and can handle that lists in a way to make it easy to find http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.5.5.html. if that doesn't help then maybe a real pro can help you find out why you can't get the list. also I'll look again to see if I can still open them up
