I am at the final mission but I'm stuck at the part where I have to disable the generators to take down the shield surrounding Zinyak. The problem is that I keep getting interrupted even though I have cleared the platform of all enemies and I am not being attacked. I would see the progress bar go to 60-80 percent but then I stop and redo the whole process.

Are you sure you're not being attacked?
What I did was letting the crew distract the murderbots and then disable the generators. Because the murderbots are distracted they won't shoot me and if they do the generator is in the way.
If you really aren't being attacked then its a glitch. When you are busy with the generators there are no indicators when you are being attacked, so keep that in mind.
