frankly all this gta Vs saints row crap is pissing me off. (this is a bit of a rant...)

Yeah, they are ungrateful Studios... the odd thing is that GTA started as a MS-DOS game, they just go where the money is and give the finger to the rest... you got to love Volition for sticking with PC and support it heavily.
and yet somehow i still love rockstar in spite of it all. i didnt make this post to bash one side and praise the other... i was just expressing my discontent on everyone starting wars on these two franchises.

the war on both franchise is just dumb, SRIV and GTA V is two very different games. SRIV is not trying to be serious or anything, they just give you everything you could possibly see in the game, you drove a tank and they give the tank, you fly a UFO they give you a UFO and best of all when you die they dont take away all your weapons (hated that back in GTA VC). While what Rockstar did for GTA is more like they want you to experience life in the world they created for you with their set of realism-ish ideas, each garage could only store 1 car and expensive ammo (not sure about the newer ones but GTA VC ones are expensive). What Volition did for SR is more like inviting you to come to the world they created and cause mayhem to it with their goofy weapon like dubstep gun in SRIV.

In conclusion, both games are really different and seem to be attracting different type of people. Compaing GTA to SR is like comparing Mario Kart to rFactor, they may be in the same genre but they are aim at different type of people.

*GTA VC is the first and last GTA game I played, when GTA SA release my PC is too weak and GTA IV runs terribly on my current PC. Part of the reason why I dont really give a crap to all the GTA V hype last time.

I believe they go with the same reason many developers say, PC has a high piracy rate and it is not profitable (while GTA IV + shit port is still selling very well on PC).

I do love companies that support their modding community or those that willing to bring their games to PC even though PC piracy rate is pretty damn high but with stuff like Steam and digital distribution, those games will keep selling after 10 years of release.

wow you must have a shit pc..... my computer can run san andreas no problem..... gta IV.... not so smoothly.....

back when GTA SA release, requirement was too high for it. My current PC should not have any problem running it now but I dont own a copy and no plans in getting one. Bought GTA IV last year (I thought after so many years my newer PC should run be able to run it), it runs 15-20 frames on all low setting with 800x600 resolution, tried fixing it and manage to get 25 frames max. I gave up attempting to fix it and bought Sleeping Dogs and THQ Humble Bundle.

My PC is also rather crappy but i get a constant 45-60 FPS in GTA4 on 1600x1200 with GTX470 and a PhenomIIx4 980.

And Xbox360 and PS3 also have Piracy, i saw 2 GTAV on 360 and PS3 as a ISO 2 weeks prior to release, Consoles are not the exception to piracy, heck most console friends i know has a full catalog of pirated 360 games, just one dude who rents consoles for 1 hour for 1 buck, he is the only dude i know who actually owns legit copies.

Bullshit. I dare to bet that GTA V will release on PC. R* always releases their games a few months later on PC. It has been like this since GTA VC. R* is not retarded, they know that releasing the game on PC will make them even more money, so they will eventualy release it on PC. In the meantime we can wait for Watch_Dogs.

If GTA V implemented a way to port my SR char to it then I'd consider throwing some pennies at them but, as is, no way. My betch is too hot to be ditched for some sleazy dudes >.>

the thing is consoles are slightly harder to pirate, I know PS3 games are harder to pirate while Xbox 360 ones is almost as easy as PC. Pretty much everyone in my country buys a Xbox 360 because it is easier to pirate games (since the currency exchange rate from USD to Ringgit Malaysia is pretty high) and there are no reason to buy legit 360 games here too, Xbox Live is not supported in the country. Same goes with GFWL (I got a copy of DiRT 3 stuck at GFWL screen).

PC is still easier to pirate, download a game and you install/crack straight away, no need to copy files to the console and run it.

If they dont come, that will make them looks like a bunch of retards. GTA IV still sell very well on PC and PC is well known for having good sale numbers in a long run, games like Skyrim is still selling and in Steam's Top Seller list after a year. GTA IV is at rank 54 at the moment, it was below SRIV on the week GTA V launch.

My guess for their delay is they planned for PC and next gen consoles version to be release together, since they need to improve some of the graphical stuff when they release on these platform and it is more efficient to do it later one shot than doing a high detail for PC and lower detail for current gen console to release together.

Not really interested in Watch Dogs, probably wait for it to go sale before picking it up.
