Skip to 5:10 of this youtube video, and notice the guitar player's reaction when Johnny's death is mentioned. And consider how totally a person's appearance can be altered with plastic surgery in the Saints Row universe. Maybe I'm grasping at straws here, but it seems like there's a strangely large focus on a character of no apparent importance in this cutscene.
