Gentlemen of the Row

What exactly are the features of the KBAM version?

And if I add sandbox + to the list, can i still use the regular version along with that?

There are a massive amount of changes and fixes. Read the changelog included with the mod. Anything you select in the menu is an optional mod, like Sandbox+. There is no "regular" version.

Please don't double-post...

I am using 7-zip but i was just opening the archive

Right-click, select 7-Zip > Extract Files... That will help greatly

I just installed this very sexy-looking mod, used the "Fancy ass installer" (which was hilarious, by the way), hit P to compile my patch after choosing a few optional mods. The cmd.exe started spamming the screen with files it was finding, then says "Building new patch"
I figure that makes sense; it must take time to create a custom SR2 mod, yeah?
But it's been like that for 30 minutes.

Is it broken/frozen? Is there something I did wrong?

(Perhaps should I have installed GotR vanilla first, then the optional mods?)

Sorry if this issue has been brought up elsewhere and I'm just being a prat asking for the solution again, but I'm sleepy and don't really have the time to go look through 28 pages of comments.

-Edit: Still doing the same thing.

That's the first time I've ever heard of it being frozen. It shouldn't matter what mods you add in with the menu. That particular part of the batch file is where it starts running gibbed's tools to build the patch files. It might be a problem with .net. Try installing the latest and great .net framework from Microsoft and see if that fixes it.

I don't know if there was just something wrong with my computer last night or what..
After I posted that and closed out Chrome, I couldn't open any other programs; the computer was just being whacky.

I shut it down and went to sleep, and getting up just now I decided to try the mod creator again, because I'm insane.
(Definition of insanity: Trying something over and over; expecting it to change?)

However, this time it passed that point, finished and created the mod.

Sorry for the waste of time, but all is well now. (Though my laptop overheated -again- after playing SR2 for about ten minutes, but that's my own issue.)

Glad to hear you got it working. :)

I have a couple of small questions about GotR, these 'fixes' are they all included in the options list to only be compiled on my say so? Or if I check nothing on the lists will it still modify the game slightly?

Also ive noticed youve included the original patch file with GotR, is this any different from my vanilla patch?
Because I know different versions of the game are patched up to different patches (1.1 and 1.2 I think?)

Game Version: UK Steam

The base build contains all the additional content; fixes, new clothes, additional weapons, additional homies, new dealerships, additional music for sale, additional garages for customizing, extra language strings, and probably more stuff I've forgotten.

The optional menu is only a small subset of the content that was changed instead of added to. It's mostly stuff that people complained about during development of the mod. i.e. someone didn't like the new spraytags? Add an option for it. etc.

The base patch is 1.2 Steam US and works fine with the UK version. It's really only there for dumb people who can't figure out how to verify integrity on Steam and have it replace the modded files with the correct ones. I should probably just remove it entirely.
