Gibbed tools

I've been working on Gibbed's tools for Saints Row: The Third and have added a few fixes.

Latest version: https://bitbucket.org/minimaul/gibbedvolition/downloads/gibbedvolition-rev96.7z
Builds: https://bitbucket.org/minimaul/gibbedvolition/downloads
Source code: https://bitbucket.org/minimaul/gibbedvolition/overview

Changes:
Code:
Rev 96:
- added verbose_unpacker.cmd: if you drag a vpp_pc file onto this instead of UnpackVPP, it will show you more information - such as where the file is, where it's being extracted to, and what files it's unpacking.

Rev 95 repack:
- remove some .vshost.exe files

Rev 95:
- Fix a crash on unpacking str2_pc files

Rev 94:
- Add Pcust morph and Customization Rig support to UpdateASM (fixes customize_item.asm_pc)

Rev 93:
- Add Vehicles, Vehicle CVTF, Vehicle PEG and Vehicle VFX to UpdateASM (fixes vehicle_containers.asm_pc, dlc1_vehicle_containers.asm_pc, dlc2_vehicle_containers.asm_pc)

Rev 92:
- merge in Corrodias's updates to UpdateASM
- Add support for Pcust mesh, Pcust PEG and Pcust morph to UpdateASM (fixes customize_item.asm_pc)

You can get the original versions from:
Builds: http://svn.gib.me/builds/volition/
Source code: http://svn.gib.me/public/volition/trunk/
It still crashes when you try to extract str2 files.

I think I posted in the wrong forum. I try to extract the soundboot.vpp_pc but the program crashes at 929 of 930 elements with the error message '...tried to read beyond end of file...'. Below my first post. Maybe you can help? Thx

everytime I use the Gibbed.SaintsRow3.UnpackVPP.exe (of rev96) to unpack 'soundboot.vpp_pc' GibbedTools crashes (Win7 64bit). It parly extracts the files, but the media-file for 'blood' is missing. So I guess there are not all of the files extracted. After research in this forum I found out that there is a 'verbose-unpacker.cmd' as well. Running this states that GibbedTools tried to read over the end of the file. I tried to unpack misc_tables.vpp_pc and sounds_common.vpp_pc as well without problems/errors.

I am using the steam version. I know they cut the Whored mod and don't allow the body shield for non gang members for this version, but it should't affect the radio-stations.

Any suggestion how I can get this to work. I want to have my own songs in game ;) Thx in advance for your help.

Like I told you in the other thread, rev96 has problems. Use the new build by Minimaul linked in the OP of this thread.

But Minimaul linked to rev96; read a first post:

Code:
[B]Rev 96:[/B]
- added verbose_unpacker.cmd: if you drag a vpp_pc file onto this instead of UnpackVPP, it will show you more information - such as where the file is, where it's being extracted to, and what files it's unpacking.

I thought it is a new version.

My brain is scrambled. I must have been thinking of the last old rev from gibbed. My mistake.

I need coffee badly.

EDIT:
I did just test and confirm that soundboot.vpp_pc extracts correctly using the latest build, so it's definitely not a problem with the tools.

This doesn't make any sense. They didn't cut anything from the Steam version. In fact, the only legal version of the game you can buy is the Steam version. Do you mean the German version?

Thx for your replies and help.

Yes, the German version.

@IdolNinja: Thx for for the verification. Could you pls tell me how many elements you extracted? (629, 630 or a totally different number)

931 files extracted correctly.

EDIT:
Archive/compress your German soundboot file and attach it to the forum please. I have attached the US region one for you to look at as well.
