Think this might be in the wrong section of the forums.

As for your dilemma, well I've read that Gimp does work. Personally I've wondered the same thing. Seems when I search for something like this on Google, It always points me to an Online use program. Either that or some other software that requires me to spend Bank on. Imma head to another website to see if I can find some answers there. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

I think its in right section it could be here or either 'Off Topic'

and yes both Gimp and PS work for this but as said above PS just ends up using all the Ram till it crash's then Gimp just freezes up once I have over 100 layers on the go

and yes that would be great atm im just rendering them as videos and using youtube but id rather work with images

Moving to off topic.

Definitely not your PC. I've never used GIMP to render 194 frame animations, or even have that many layers open but I do have an idea of what may help. Try increasing your Tile Cache as well as your Maximum New Image Size. Just go to Edit, then Preferences. It's the first tab there.

Hopefully that works for you.
