Oh there will FOR SURE be people crying and complaining about the delay. Most of them are 15 year old boys whose parents are buying the game for them.
The normal people don't care. Does the delay suck? Sure. But I'm playing Sleeping Dogs right now and having a great time. One delayed game doesn't bother me.
If anything is bothering me, it's Bethesda being quiet on Fallout 4.
If we were talking about SR1, I'd agree with you. SR2/TT/IV have gone a very different route and are very different games from GTA - the only thing they have in common these days is that they're both sandbox games.

I've always been against people calling Saints Row a clone of GTA so yes I know what you mean, they are hardly the same game. At the same time, the big reason I play SR over GTA is because SR gives me a sandbox to play in with my own custom character, whereas GTA gives me a preset character. However, I believe GTA Online lets you finally create a custom character, sooooo....
Let's just say I think i'll be having a lot of fun with GTA V until SR5 decides to roll along. (And probably until SR6 if SR5 decides to recycle Steelport again)
^Apart from the graphic quality (you don't say..), the updated character creator system still can't beat Saints Row.
Just in case if anyone want to know the difference between the old one and new one. PS3-360 version of creator was to choose parents from both parents which then you will have an option to slide which parent you want to resemble more. Sounded great and innovative on paper, while it's not good at all on practice and result.
Male character tend to be okay, but they looked similar to each other. To those who made female, people call the females to be look like crackwhore, transvestite, ape, or caveman. My female character looks decent compared to the others (to me). But without make up applied, she looks like someone who never sleep. Yep, I'm eager to see and edit her looks in PS4 version - but that less likely to happen since I'm sure by the time I bought PS4, GTAO would be dead or I have no more interest in it.
From this feedback, Rockstar revamped the creator and went halfway back to the old school editor style. At least they threw their hipster pride, even only half. Men are looking better now. Some who wants to create classy man can actually make one now without the coke-snorting face from PS3/360 version. As for female, well, some made good looking one without make-up, some still look like cavemen or look like porcelain doll.
Below is my female character without makeup and with makeup:
'Never sleep'
'Healthy woman'

Tbh, I may sound like a hypekiller here. But you can't deny the fact that this game is old and I've been playing this since day 1. I have been active within the community as well. So, as a soon-to-be fellow GTAV/Online player, I wouldn't want y'all to expect much or even pump the hype too much like we gta community did back then which in the end, we are disappointed for it being underdelivered and overhyped; not to mention the PR bullshits. I'm not a fanboy myself, so I'll say it as raw as it is. Take my view as friendly advice like how your buddy wouldn't want his friend to fall in the same pit as he or others.
