How hard will it be to port vehicles, cloths, and hair styles from SR4 to SRTT

i liked the simplicity of it...if you hit it at the right time, the animation sped up, therefore you could run through people quickly...otherwise, you'd go slow and just get shot to hell
it was a risk/reward thing.

as for that dude saying he's glad regular punching is back...clearly he never used unarmed, cause regular punching looks exactly the same as it does in SR3...they literally just took something out and didn't add anything in it's spot, from the sounds of it they just made the qte button into another regular punch button, but kept the same animations as the other button.

Have you played Saints Row 2? If you landed 3 punches or kicks combinations you would have a combo in the end, but people would still get up and fight you, and hell, they would do the same thing to you. In Saints Row 3, you land 2 punches and the pedestrian dies right away, or doesn't try do defend himself. You even had fighting styles.

I liked the QTE attacks, I just didn't like that they were insta-win, one press of a key/pull of a trigger and done, even if you flubbed the QTE. They did look cool, but I wish they'd been more like combo finishers, so there was some real fisticuffs first, you know? And if you flubbed the QTE, the enemy wouldn't necessarily be dead.

I loved that idea, I don't know why Volition didn't do that !

soooo.... they brought back regular punching...what does that mean then?

It means that the buttons you used to punch are back, and not those QTE. It also means normal punching, instead of a superpowered punching that almost kills people instantly that doesn't let you get into a big fight with NPCs.

what?
Do you mean you have finishers like SR2 again? Cause enemies took more than 2 punches to go down in Saints 3...even on casual.
You know if you hit the right trigger, you punched normally in saints 3...right?
You know you didn't actually ever have to use those QTEs.

So what is different in saints iv? besides that they took out the QTEs and made the left trigger redundant by giving it the same function as the right with no new animation?

I'm not talking about enemies, I'm talking about pedestrians. I know how to punch in Saints Row 3, but it feels so damn insatisfying.

oooo ok then. makes more sense. sorry, i know nothing about fighting with pedestrians. they were always just obstacles standing in the way of actual fights to me.
i always played saints row with melee/unarmed. (from saints 1 all the way to 3) the character just gets progressively stronger as the series goes along.
So while fighting pedestrians with unarmed was where saints 1 was at, i could wreck house on the earlier levels in saints 2 with just unarmed and sword or bat...by the time 3 came out, i was playing just about every mission with just unarmed. it was so varied and intense, cause the enemies didn't just go down with one hit, but you could bring down large groups with unarmed if you dodged around enough and moved fast, and i had a lot of ways to take them out.

that's why i want to put the QTEs back in...because i used them on missions with the rest of the melee attacks (regular melee, takedowns, nutshots...and beatdowns)

Yeah, they were cool and all, but hey, everyone has its opinions. But I actually like the Takedowns, for me, they're the ones who helped me in Story Missions ! Besides the weapons of course. If they could put all in, it would be really great !

well the takedowns are in their still, all i was saying was that i want to add back in the qte's
at no point was i suggesting taking anything out.there would still be all the normal punches with all the normal moves, all the nutshots, all the takedowns. i'm just wanting to add back something that was taken out from the third. (i'm not even talking about new animations or anything...just adding back in the beatdowns).

for example, according to those who play the game, the left mouse button instead of initiating a beatdown does the same melee punches as the right mouse button...i just want to take the moves from the third and put them back in on the left mouse button. just like on the third...the end. no missing melee moves, everything is still the same.
