How To Add New Simple Re-textured Clothing (beginners guide)

Fingers crossed that this issue can get resolved soon, it would be one hell of a Christmas gift to be able to mod Saints Row IV again lmao! I honestly don't think I have the patience or intelligence to learn how to mod games like GTA San Andreas lol.
I hope so. I have a 99% save game, I'm gonna push it to 100% and then play a different game. Then hopefully will come back if the tools are more accessible.

Yeah, San Andreas is old so its quirky. But I've modded it a few times! Never made my own mods before though. I just want to do it as a hobby honestly.

I'd honestly try reverting it to Legacy version and trying again just in case. I honestly haven't modded Saints Row IV in years, and I know the Re-Elected patch messed up bunch of modding related stuff

Fair enough but still. I don't think I located my game directory (Re-Elected folder) for the minimaul tools. Just the xbtl file that already comes in the tools extracted folder. So don't think it's a version issue.

How do you even revert Saints Row IV to its Legacy version? I didn't even know that was a thing lol. Would people still be able to utilize said Legacy-made mods using the new standard Re-Elected version of Saints Row IV, or will they have to revert their copies of the game to the Legacy version?

Right Click on Saints Row IV in your Steam Library, go to Properties > Betas. Under Beta Participation, select sriv_legacy

You can use the mods in Re-Elected, but new clothing items are sometimes really unstable and tend to crash the game for a lot of people. I honestly recommend just reverting back to legacy build if you wanna mod it

Let me know if you decide to do it and it works. I might do the same, but I still think it's a tool issue and not a version issue.

If you try it lemme know

Soo...good news, it turns out that switching your Saints Row IV back to its Legacy variant should allow the ThomasJepp tool to work properly. The bad news for me is that I'm currently working on a custom full-body suit and I just got done rigging it in Maya but now I'm running into the issue in which every time I upload both cf_model and the cm_model the SDK converter seemingly is only able to produce the cpeg and gpeg files for both models and nothing else, which doesn't really help me be able to fully add in the custom full-body suit with the pc.cmorph files for both the cf_model and cm_model. However, that's way off topic given this forum's subject but I would greatly appreciate any further help if possible.

Oh wow. I might have to do that then. Thanks!

Maybe OP can help with your issue since they helped with getting ThomasJepp working!
