How do you know what your patch version is, and why would you be running an outdated patch? Have you verified integrity on Steam? You do own the legal Steam version of the game, right?

Remove all the mod files.
Verify your local cache files in Steam.
Run the game again to make sure it's working properly.
Reinstall the mod.

I hate steam. I bought it from official website at gamestop. I dont have any mods. Please help...

Saints Row IV is steamworks and all versions worldwide require Steam. Pirates will sure say anything to make themselves look legit.

I gotta admit that I experienced this problem a few days ago before making this mod and every-time I tried to modify an xtbl file the game was simply crashing even from the most insignifiant change of value from one of the tables. After I started to download some of the others people's mods from this website the game stopped crashing but if I made the slightest adjustment then it would crash.I decided to download and install Notepad++ and then get some XML tools for Notepad++ and then it all stopped. So your best bet is to get a decent text editor for editing those files.

I've been away for a bit, but yes this fixed the problem. I'm not sure how/why but notepad++ (simply using the installer) did fix it so things are adjustable now. So thanks!
