Just curious about Boss editor

Do you edit/create your character o you prefer to leave the Boss with his default appearance? Why?

I always create my characters (usually my favourite one, but I have about 20+ characters), for this I buy videogames with character editor (the Sims, WWE, Saints Row), and I love how in SR characters come out (In Sr4 there are also a lot of long hair, and most of my characters have long hair).

But I noticed that a lot of people keep the Boss with his default apparence, or maybe they just change his chlotes or tthey put makeup on his face.
 
I use randomize to get something to start with and then start having fun.

Of course IdolNinja goes to extremes on his editing.

I'm just lazy. Mines default except the eye color. The female in the purple/gold outfit is my choice when redoing the story. If I really wanted to take my time, I would. I just get it done and over with to go kill some people. However on the Sims 3 I take my time. I also make a lot of houses on it. It's weird..
 
I like to customize my player; makes the saved game more 'mine' as its my character that I designed as the player
 
I spend forever in character customization -.-. Especially when I'm not familiar with the customization system. Took me awhile to get used to SRTT's
 
It took two years to make my character look how I imagine him, but I like the result in Sr3/4.
In Sr2 I just got his sad eyes, but I'm not so happy on his look.
 
Well I have multiple Presidents. Some I've made from scratch, but most are just edited versions of other people's (some re-created from YT, others downloaded).
 
I spent about maybe 30 minutes to an hour creating my first character. Then another hour in SRIV. Probably a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes, and that was just one character.
 
In Sr4 I never change my character clothes once. I love his way of dressing to much, at the point that I think no other clothes look good on him.
In Sr3 he has an huge wardrobe.
