SPOILERS Killbane. And my opinion of this franchise.

Vague title intentional to comply to the rules.

The spoiler text below is unrelated and merely my opinion on SR:TT/SR:IV since I just played them back to back as a SR Virgin.
I just played SR:TT and SR:IV in the last 4 days back to back, this was my first time playing a Saints Row game, I loved SR:TT, especially after playing a gritty serious game like Sleeping Dogs I loved the over-the-top Hollywood style gameplay. IV felt like a glorified and unpolished expansion however. I just hope that somewhere down the food chain my money actually goes to Volition since I honestly feel that the Saints Row franchise is a potential masterpiece being ruined by unfortunate circumstances (THQ etc, I can largely elaborate on that, but it would make this post too long).

I honestly wish Volition would be given an adequate budget with no deadline so they can create the game they want to, instead of being forced into corners.

What happened to Killbane in SR:IV? I assume canonically he escapes at the end of SR:TT since Shaundi is still alive in IV.

We kill Cyrus, but Killbane remains at large. However in the audio logs of Shaundi it's implied that we killed Killbane already.

Did I miss that in SR:IV or did it happen during the 5 year time skip?

Earth was blown up and everyone on Earth died.

There's still the implication that he was captured by the Zin, and floating in one of those Matrix goo pods, which leaves the idea of Killbane being the main antagonist once again in the next game, taking control of the Zin ship or something.

Either way, it's just easier to say he died.

either that or they will be on a new planet where gangs have formed again. either way, i'm happy.

That's the most Anti-Climactic way to kill two Antagonists that people always wanted to fuck up, no Volition decided to get hollywoodian over-the top childish humor instead of the mix that was SR2 with the Seriousness of the Storyline, Realistic Over the top fun (I partially blame that guy that cut nearly everything with SRTT, and the fact that sqeakers have taken over the internet) if Volition made this more of a spin-off title or an entire dream sequence then Saints Row could go back to its gangsterish roots, compared by itself SRTT and SRIV are still very good games, but they are practically crappy compared to SR1 and SR2 (don't start up with that GTA Clone crap, it was in production around a year before GTA San Andreas was even Mentioned, and the gaming industry is filled with clones, and rip-offs) Back to the topic.... I always wanted to fuck up Dex and Killbane, like the mad dog the protagonist was in SR1 and SR2, hopefully time travel instead of laser machineguns and spaceships is utilized, and we either get to fuck dex in a revived Stilwater and/or killbane up.

But with GTA V i don't see that happening

I still maintain that SRTT and SRIV should've been their own games. It wouldn't have matter if they had a good amount of ridiculousness from the get-go of the series, but from 2 to 3 was one hell of a rift. I wouldn't say 3 or 4 were bad compared to the previous instalments, but it's just such a far cry from what fans expect of the series.

(after seeing something on the web if some person to disagree with you from the US, i was thinking of saying "Blow it out your ass" but i didn't want to be moronic, or disagree with you)
Yeah they should of done what FarCry 3 had done, stick with the seriousness and lore of the old game, yet making it realistically fun in many ways possible.
