Layered Straight Hairstyle and Saints hoodie.

What's up again forum.
Been tryin' to figure out what's up with this hair style Layerd Straight. Every time I go to wear the Saints Hoodie (hood down) It always puts my character's hair up in a Ponytail. Been Lookin' for it in the Customize_Items.XTBL ,but nothing seems to be workin'.
Either I'm not modifying the right line or it's the Hoodie that's needing to be modified and if it's the hoodie then I'm still not doing something right here

I second hair fixes; I like having a hairstyle in-game that kinda mirrors my own XD
But, I doubt much work will be able to get done before the proper kits come out. I guess we gotta just wait it out patiently.

Mhm. So basic modding won't work on this kinda thing. Bummers, well i'm not to bummed. In the mean time I'll just go work on my Texture and packin' skills. Thanks yo.

It looks to be in the customize_items.xtbl but the setting under the hair style is what needs to be looked at.
On each of the longer hair styles there is a sections for wearing hats as well as shirts with hoods.
Make adjustments to the areas bellow the 2 following flag areas for the hair style your character uses.
<Flag>hat active</Flag> and <Flag>hood down</Flag>

Change the mesh it calls on to the original mesh for that hair style.
<Mesh_Information>
<Male_Mesh_Filename>
<Filename>cm_hathair_pulledponytail.cmeshx</Filename>
</Male_Mesh_Filename>
<Female_Mesh_Filename>
<Filename>cf_hathair_pulledponytail.cmeshx</Filename>
</Female_Mesh_Filename>

Note: Some hair styles will clip into the cloths when you change these settings. So be forewarned.

Most of the Hair settings are in the top of the table so a quick search for your hair style should give you a listing for the .cmeshx to use

Example:
The French Braid hair style (not double french, just the regular one with the bow in the end) uses mesh names of
cm_hair_frenchbraid_01.cmeshx and cf_hair_frenchbraid_01.cmeshx

So if you want the french braid to clip out of the back of the down hoody shirts.
You would change the mesh settings under <flag>hood down</flag> to go from:
<Filename>cm_hathair_pulledponytail.cmeshx</Filename> to <Filename>cm_hair_frenchbraid_01.cmeshx</Filename>
And <Filename>cf_hathair_pulledponytail.cmeshx</Filename> to <Filename>cf_hair_frenchbraid_01.cmeshx</Filename>

Rinse and repeat for the other hair styles and you should be good to go.

@Bring the Noise
Thank you very much for the help man. I've got it to work and it feels good to learn something new. I can't believe how far off I was when it came to this.

what about for hats?
Same thing. Just Replace the<Filename>cm_hathair_pulledponytail.cmeshx</Filename> with whatever Hair cmeshx you're trying to get working with hats. Refer to Bring the Noise's post. It pretty much covers everthing about the hair with hoodies and hats.
