Mod Request: Dismemberment

There are sharp weapons, like the nocturne and the woodsman, so why isn't there dismemberment?
It could probably eventually be added.
 
You have to understand that all the mods you're asking for need a recoding of the engine. It's impossible to do with the modding tools we have.

You can't add dismemberment, destructible environment and stuff by flipping a variable in a game which does not feature any of that in the first place.

You still don't understand that either it cannot be done or you somehow obtain the source code of the game. Meaning that it's impossible or never be implanted in terms of all the thing you asked.
 
What I meant was maybe a year from now or something, when advanced tools are made. currently, though, they do not seem possible (very unlikely, at least). I didn't mean next week or anything like that, the game did just come out, after all.
 
The mod request forum is for requests, and there is nothing wrong with the original poster asking for something well beyond the scope of what we can do. Many of the best mods for SR2 came about because of a crazy impossible request that made us stop for a moment and think outside the box to come up with an interesting compromise or alternative.

What I'm saying is that wild ideas can off lead to something awesome. Please try to keep that in mind and be civil to each other.
 
I understand implementing this would fall somewhere between challenging and impossible, but I'd love to see a dismemberment mod too, it would make the chainsaw so much better. But yeah, not even thinking about a code based level, I was thinking if they didn't plan for dismemberment in the first place, then there'd be no graphics for bloody stumps at the seams of people's joints. So yeah, quite an endeavor I'm sure, but I'd love to see this too.
 
The only thing that is remotely close to dismemberment is the Bloody Mess cheat. Would be fun to use someone's limbs as weapons eh? :D

Haha indeed. You ever play Stubbs the Zombie? Had fun doing that in that game.

As for the Bloody Mess cheat, that one is good for a laugh too. Started playing the game a few days ago, just got around to checking that out last night.
