MOD REQUEST: fix a wardrobe bug preventing changing clothes

Hi, I encountered a bug that prevents me from changing my clothing in the wardrobe in a particular category (in my case the 'upper body'), so i'm stuck wearing whatever i have on now.

It happened when i filled up the slot and it said "You have reached the maximum number of items allowed in this category". From then on the list of 'upper body' clothes bugged out and prevented me from selecting any of the items properly, and when i was able to select them i would go to both "wear item" or "discard item" and they would do nothing, so im unnable to change or delete any of my clothes in that category.

I had no help on the main SR3 troubleshooting forums so was wondering if something like this could be fixed via a simple mod? Or if there's any other way to change what im wearing (or discard clothes so it hopefully un-bugs).

Actually additionally -

whether or not this fix is possible, is it possible to have a mod allowing you to change the color of any item of clothing you own in the wardrobe, as opposed to having to go to a store to buy numerous different copies of the same item of clothing for different colors?

This was relatively easy to accomplish in sr2 and made an optional mod in GotR. I'll see what I can do.

Sounds like a corrupted save to me. I really have no idea how you would even start to try to fix it if you can't delete clothing in-game. I would be interested to know just how much stuff you bought though to see if we can reproduce the problem.

He means he has filled his wardrobe with too many items.. This kind of thing is why I create multiple saves for individual characters..

I'm not sure on the exact number of things i bought, because theres no countdown on the limit, but it wasnt that much.. it felt like ~150 absolute max.

I also know someone who had the exact same issue so i think its just a problem with the game not me.

I also just tested then and filled up another category (lower body this time), and the exact same thing happened with the menu bugging out and unnable to change/remove things.

Going back to an older save fixes it (as the category isnt filled any more), but unfortunately the last save i have before the upper body first got bugged is ~8 hours back (that'll teach me for not saving regularly i guess)..

very frustrating is all ill say, and seems to be a bug with the game. Anyone else care to fill up a category and see if the same thing happens? (when it fills up it'll say you cant buy anymore so u'll know when its full)

Maybe, and that's a maybe, modding some items OUT of the game would clear up your inventory and allow you to unblock your clothes. But it may also crash spectacularly, I'm not experienced enough in SR modding to make a pronostic.

Why in the heck would they even implement a limit of clothes that could be purchased? Should there not be enough internal inventory slots to get you at least every item+ some new additions?
Makes no sense to me.

It really seems that it's a bug, I can't imagine them thinking "Hey if they buy (amount) clothes, let's fuck up the whole thing" .

I guess they didn't test the "buy everything I can" case.
