No there is not. You misread. It was in Saints Row 2, i didn't find this flag anywhere in the Third but I tried it anyway and it didn't work.

It may not even be the same skeleton.

In the mission (SPOILER!) where you look like another character, it's just a special headgear and armor and they even seem to apply another skeleton to it.

From what I've seen, the only clue (and it's a big one) about the possibility of playing as an NPC is the Be all you want to be code which should show a list of characters to impersonate but doesn't seem to work. But I think its presence is enough to continue the investigation.

Ah ok thanks for the clarification flyn. I must of read it wrong.
Yea hopefully something can be thrown together, just takes some time, with all the talent around =)

I suppose the hair is glued to their model as well then? I can't imagine why they decided to put their best hairstyles for females on the NPC's, and the most boring ones to the players. I mean, come on..

Are you kidding? There's three good female player hairstyles I can think of right off the top of my head.

Basic Bob, Over The Shoulder, and Lopsided, I think.

That said, I see all the NPCs ingame with hair we can already get...

Personal preferences is nothing to disagree with, but i wouldn't mind having the hairstyles my female saint crew members have. Which at least I think looks rather good :)

i'd like to have johnny gat's model on the charcter pretty much my fav charcter i want johnny i can get close but never close enough

Still, clothing in SR3 leaves to be desired. I think the 'excuse' for no longer having layered clothing had something to do with more complex gestures or some such. I would have simply said "Ditch the complex gestures, then!" :)

The way I understood it, in SR2, the NPC's are wearing layered clothes too! In the end, layered or no doesn't really matter, when there are simply enough of 'pre-painted on' models to choose from; although a layered system will, inevitably, as good as always, allow for more permutations.
