The remaster doesn't seem to like the old character_definitions table...

Trying to bring some hair colors (particularly the iridescents) more in-line with the original release, but this game really seems to have a thing for defining "black" as "dark grey, kinda"

lol that happened to me on some mod, maybe it was the same problem.

that seems plausible because the black in the game doesn't seem too black to me.
