I'm not sure either. If it is crashing before the binks it is something display related. I would assume display.ini, but I'm not sure. Do you have any mdmp files?
I guess I fixed it. Now everything works: newest modding patch, saves, mods,...
I had to copy all my 880 files and test every to see if game crash or not. Overwriting every file is not good idea.
