New gameplay video from IGN

The map size seems reasonable for a 20$ expansion. From the footage shown in this video, I can already tell that this city is a lot more diverse than steelport ever was in any Saints Row game. Actually, I'm pretty hyped for GOOH.
 
I'm hyped after knowing that it is a brand new map instead of a reskinned Steelport, definitely going to get this on day 1 when it release.
 
I am going to be honest why dafaq didn't saints row 4 look this good seriously I think volition actually added new shit and did not mash old shit from sr3 and sr4 and the graphics and all look some what better for 20 bucks this might actually be worth it like flow says .I cant wait for this and I hope saints row 5 theme of time travel is still on the table to happen after this.


ps please make saints row 5 in a awesome new engine like unreal engine or some other awesome engine so we have brand new graphics and shit.Hope for a bigger game with bigger story and more customization and all.I have in mind combine stilwater and steelport and the white house into one game when u go back in time to save earth have two of each homie and you take the aliens down from the white house then that turns into your crib and goes defeat the aliens at stilwater and steelport something to that effect.Btw why blue again and not purple when take over stuff I mean the saints are purple not blue as in the deckers.sorry for my grammer and all

See now I am just going to end up being disappointed, because I remember saying to myself after beating SR4 "man I sure wish I could upgrade glide to flight", and now that they have a flight mode in this standalone "expansion" that'll be exclusive to it and not the main SR4 game... *sigh*

Best thing they could do with this is reward the people who have bought the main SR4 game and let them use the content from Gat out of Hell (after finishing it) in the main SR4 game!

Thats exactly what I think.
You should be able to get all of that stuff in the original SRIV when owning GooH.
 
Since they are calling it standalone expansion, I'm going to assume that the SR4 owners will have access to the new map and weapons if they buy the game. Since it is a expansion that suppose to expand the base game.
 
You are missing the part where it says "stand alone". There are 2 ways they can do that, a complete and separate install of the new game or as a module that's installed into the main SR4 folder, uses assets from SR4, but is accessed alone.

My educated assumption (I could very well be wrong) is that either way, you wont be accessing any new content from your SR4 game save, it will be completely separated.
 
GooH is supposed to be completely standalone meaning that you don't even need SR4 to play it.
If it is like that you won't get access to New Hades, ... - in IV.

I remember THQ did something similar back with W40k Dawn of War 2 Chaos Rising expansion, you can buy the expansion only and get access to 1 faction, new campaign and new game modes (all new stuff from expansion) but if you have the base game it will integrate with it. They advertise it as standalone expansion as well and I hope this is similar to it.
