I doubt this. You can't just push the "delay game" button without causing a plethora of issues, especially when you're moving a game to an entire year later. I hope this is false for a number of reasons

Or maybe he was told not to. Quiet delays are a thing. Maybe they just want to keep it on the down low and not draw any attention to it, given how the remaster is coming a day from now.
