Wouldn't changing the water physics break the water-running upgrade, though?

The thing with the SDK is that even when fully released, there are going to be restrictions. It's not going to be the win-all, end-all mod tool that everyone keeps assuming it will be.

That said, I'm hoping that there will at least be some sort of method to change certain shaders, or eliminate them entirely.

It'd be nice to finally have normal-looking water.

And I'm hoping that horrible glitching effect on buildings that never completely goes away can be removed, it's kind of an eyesore.

I thought the problem with boats was that they're already in the game files, but there are no longer any physics for them, so they don't work properly when put into water. At least I think that's what Idol said a while back.

Yeah. Currently there's no way to use boats even when added to your garage, and I haven't been able to get them to spawn. It looks like the boat vehicle class and their physics were kind of mutilated and turned into the alien teleportals- technically those red warp sphere things are classified as boat vehicles.

I imagine they could keep the new water physics while still making it look realistic (i.e. remove the orange pixel effect)
