NPC Clothing for Player Character

There were a few mods on the net that add NPC clothing for a player’s character — these are Skinball Outfit mods, Dimassss mods. So I have a question: how to make a similar mod? Are there tutorials on adding NPC clothing for a player character?
 
NPCs don't have any clothes, they have body mesh, sometimes with hairs. To convert body to cloth you should
1) Unpack some character file
2) Unpack some cloth file
3) Rename character files to cloth files
4) Pack cloth archive move it to game's root folder and update ASM
 
Good. I did everything, but when I go to the store to buy clothes, it becomes invisible, and the player’s character is not visible. Apparently, I did something wrong. Sorry, you can write instructions in more detail.
