Well it's not really an issue for everybody, but is it possible to get a mod for Saint's Row the Third, and Saint's Row the Fourth, that switches the on foot trigger buttons?

I originally played it on the PS3, where L1 and R1 (the top triggers), shot the guns and aimed, while on foot, and L2 and R2 (the back triggers), threw grenades and ran. Then in the car (the front triggers) fired the guns and threw grenades, and (the back triggers), sped up and slowed down.

In the PC game, when using the controller, the car stays the same, but the on foot controls flipped, and there's no way to modify them.

I can understand that some people like the back trigger shooting, but I don't, because the amount of time it takes to fire is less on the fron't triggers of the PS3 controller i'm using. I also tried flipping it in DS3 Tool, but then the driving controls flip, which is annoying.

Is there anyway you can release a patch, that lets you modify the gamepad controls, or a mod that only flips the on foot controls?
 
I think you can set hotkeys to profiles within the program itself, im not to be quoted on that though, i may be remembering something else as my memory is terrible
 
Actually, you can set this easily and natively with this control_schemes.xtbl. This one is for SRIV. It seems to be what you want, but I've never played on PS3 so if I missed one, that's why lol

To use it, just put this file in the same folder as your SRIV exe and load the game. If this works for you, I have SR:TT installed as well and can do one for it. I thought someone had done this for both games but a quick search yielded nothing. If that's the case, I can post this in the forums for both.

EDIT: Here's an updated one with all controls swapped. Checking the table further I realized PS3 has swapped controls for helicopters and some other stuff.

Ozean, i think that would probably flip the car controls too, which i'm trying to avoid, and

Just in case, what i'm lookin' for is...

on Saint's Row the Third:

(on foot)

L1= aiming R1=shoot guns

L2 = run R2 = throw grenades

(in car)

L1 = grenades R1 = primary attack (shooting)

L2 = brake/reverse R2 = accellerate

everything else is the same, or whatever power related switch normally takes place in Saint's row 4.

...I think grenades are the powers...yeah.
