EDIT: Tried upacking the misc.vpp_pc , unpacked the cpeg/gpeg, converted the .DDS file into a .BMP file.
Made my edits.
Converted the file back to .DDS, repacked the cpeg/gpeg, repacked the misc.vpp_pc file and moved it to the packfiles folder.
Still no change to the ingame map. If you guys have any ideas, I'll have another crack at it.
