I want to get one for me, because sometimes I want to make a more "precise drawing" that I can't do on paper (I do mostly free-hand on-paper cartoons) but doing it with a mouse is a horror, nothing that I can't find a fix or get used to, but I really want to have the right tools for the job.

I got mine on Amazon, about 5-6 years ago, and I'm just now using it.
The reason why, is a reason, very similar to yours... So I feel your pain lol.
Once you invest in the tools you've researched, you'll be fine.
Until then I'd keep drawing, even if it's just for fun. You'd be surprised
at how much better you'll get.
