Extracts every package that Saints Row: The Third and the Initiation Station come with.

To extract Saints Row: The Third packages just run Minimaul.RecursiveUnpacker.exe.
To extract Initiation Station packages, you will need to open a command prompt, change to the right directory, and type:
Code:
Minimaul.RecursiveUnpacker.exe SaintsRow3InitiationStation

Download.

The main directory serves as an override directory. So you can just dump your edited files there and the game will load the changes. No need to repack unless you want to save HDD space.

Not quite sure I understand. When I run the recursive tool, it spits out an output directory containing the vpp_pc folders. I tried substituting a vpp_pc file with the folder that was extracted, but that crashed the game.

that D:\ path is just where I compiled the source code, it's not a path on your pc.

The problem there is because it can't find your SRTT directory, same as your issue with ModInstaller. I'm working on it - trying to get more information about the various types of SRTT disks available.

This seems like a significant amount of time and effort to inconvenience pirates, while incidentally inconveniencing some portion of legitimate users. Hey, that sounds like a lot of DRM. :) Do as you wish, but i don't understand wanting to prioritize that over having a tool that is more flexible and less likely to have a problem.

Even if I didn't try your tool I agree. Your tool is not essential to modding, so if pirates want to mod, they will be able to anyway. Meanwhile, you're making it less useable even for normal users.

I support the choice to avoid piracy talks or posting mods which enable DLCs, but making your mod installer potentially be a pain to use just in order to maybe prevent pirates from using it seems like a waste of coding time.

Ultimately it's your choice. But as Corrodias says, it's basically the same kind of thinking that brought us DRMs and it's kinda weird for a modding tool.

It was easier to code it to get the steam dir automatically than to do it manually, especially as this was originally written for me and I only released it because it might be useful to others.

I've only not fixed it because I've not found anyone on the steam group in the chat who has had an issue who we haven't later banned for piracy. If you have an issue, come into the steam group and bug me about it ;)
