Homies & NPCs Replace Main Characters face mesh with old faces?

I really really LOVE the remaster, but I HATE the "realistic" approach they took on a game that was imo Always meant to be cartoony.
Has anyone ever tried to make a mod that replaces the characters faces with their original game counterparts, or tried to give the boss a better skin complexion that isn't so wrinkly?
I want a faithful remaster :sadge:

I actually think that giving characters their old faces (or at least face shapes) souldn't be difficult, the game still has npc_basehead from SR3 in it, so you could probably just replace morph files, and edit character definitions. But then you'd need to replace body models as well, and there aren't any tools to build or convert models into srttr format.

Why would body models need to be replaced? Too much of a seam between the SRTT head and the SRTTR body?
(I know little about how the game files work or mods tbh)

There would be gaps between the head and the body, headwear and hair will clip through it, skin and hair colors won't match and so on. And then, even if you could deal with those issues, you will have a clash in art styles between SR3 and SR3R assets, where a character whose head you replaced will stick out like a sore thumb, cause even random pedestrians will have significantly higher detailed heads.
Imo it's just not worth the trouble. I also prefer SR3 style, and so i just play SR3 rather than spend a ton of time trying to make SR3R look like it.

I find actually the realistic approach on some characters better then the original. Viola & Kiki now look in the remaster closer to the promo images then in the original is the case, where the final outcome was a bit disappointing. They now wear thigh high boots, as intended and their clothes is also now right. In the original they look rather bland.
I have more trouble with how the sky is looking in the remaster, especially with that yellowish effect during daylight.
